FP McCann required a more efficient solution to their existing settlement ponds that enabled them to increase the recirculation of clean process water returning to the Wash Plant.
The Bruce Thickener Tank and associated Poly Plant provides a efficient solution to Wastewater Treatment. By clarifying the process water and concentrating the sludge material discharged from the cyclone overflow of their Wash Plant, F.P. McCann are able to maintain a consistently clean water supply.
The clarification system now in place will recirculate up to 90% of the process water back to the Wash Plant whilst removing unwanted sludge.

WASHING SOLUTION
BWT-6 Thickener Tank working in conjunction with an associated Flocculent Dosing Station.
Polymer solution is made up within the Poly Plant, using flocculant. Here it goes through three stages, Mix, Age and Storage – from the storage tank, the desired dosing will be pumped into the dirty water line to coagulate the silt from the water.
As the silt becomes denser, it sinks to the bottom of the tank and using rakes, the material is encouraged to move into the centre of the Thickener Cone. The Thickener will release the concentrated sludge once it detects a preset density.
The clarified water produced will be recirculated into the Wash Plant, reducing the need to pump top-up water from the existing pond.
